About the role

We’re looking for an organised, proactive Junior Project Manager to support the successful delivery of digital projects for our clients. You’ll work closely with our delivery team of developers and designers, and our client services team, to ensure projects run smoothly, on time and within scope, whilst maintaining positive client experiences.

 

This is a great stepping-stone role for someone early in their project management career, looking to progress into a low mid-level position, or transitioning from a coordinator/support position.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Delivery

  • Coordinate and deliver multiple digital projects of varying sizes using our preferred project management tools
  • Set realistic and practical goals for projects and develop strategies to achieve them
  • Track project progress against milestones and flag deviations early
  • Maintain project documentation including plans, status reports, and meeting notes
  • Support the scheduling of resources across projects in collaboration with senior team members

Stakeholder Communication

  • Report regularly on project budgets, risks, and progress to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with clients and Account Managers to maintain strong communication
  • Attend client meetings and support requirements-gathering workshops
  • Escalate risks and issues that fall outside of your control in a timely and proactive manner

Financial & Administrative

  • Track and manage invoice and payment milestones in collaboration with the finance team
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of timesheets and project administration
  • Monitor project budgets and highlight variances to senior management

Team Collaboration

  • Maintain strong working relationships within the development team and across the wider business
  • Encourage collaborative problem-solving and support a positive team culture
  • Balance risk to live website environments by assessing potential impacts and challenging assumptions

 

Essential Requirements

Professional Skills

  • 1+ years project management or coordination experience, ideally within a digital agency or software development environment
  • Experience working with Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach

Domain Experience

  • Understanding of website development lifecycles and digital project delivery
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (Umbraco experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Awareness of UX principles and how design fits into the development process
  • Basic understanding of web technologies and how development teams work

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar)
  • Experience with studio management or resource planning platforms (Productive, Teamwork, or similar)
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Comfortable using version control concepts and understanding developer workflows

Some things that might give you that extra edge… 

  • Experience in business analysis or facilitating requirements workshops
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with housing associations or public sector clients
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms
  • Knowledge of mobile application development lifecycles
