About the role

This person should be able to effectively translate designs and user needs into actionable user stories, they are comfortable working with delivery methodologies, running requirement gathering interviews/workshops, and have a strong passion for UX and knowledge of the digital process.

Role Purpose

You will be working with the all stakeholders across the business and externally with our partners and customers. You’ll be leading our product strategy and also defining the functional requirements, use cases and user journeys

Key responsibilities for this role

  • Owning, promoting and ensuring delivery of the overarching digital product roadmap; managing the pace and tempo of delivery and highlighting progress
  • Creating an environment for success and ensuring the right product management approaches are taken for each product; developing that capability within others
  • The day-to-day management and tracking of digital product budgets and contracts; ensuring value for money
  • Monitoring and measuring the performance of our digital products, working with the team to devise and monitor key metrics and measure impact
  • Managing day-to-day relationships with internal development and test teams along with our external development partners.
  • Fostering healthy and effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across social housing, working with them to understand how our digital products can support their strategic goals
  • Hands-on Product management of one or more digital products

Essential skills and experience

  • Expert understanding of agile methodologies, ensuring the right tools and techniques are used at each stage of the product lifecycle
  • Proven experience of leading teams through the full product life cycle, identifying which tools and techniques should be used at each stage, identifying risks and making decisions
  • Experience of coaching others, providing guidance and supporting the professional development of colleagues
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to ensure the team has a situational awareness of each other's work and gathering requirements

  • Empathy, a pragmatic attitude, and the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Pragmatic attitude to problem-solving
  • Experience managing significant digital delivery budgets
  • Significant experience in a Product Owner/Product Manager role, working in a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills, including the ability to get buy-in for your ideas
  • Significant experience of creating and managing product backlogs and undertaking business analysis, mapping user journeys
Genuinely care

You’ll have access to experts in their field at Prodo (UX, design, accessibility, web development, technical, infrastructure) to help you answer more complex queries from your prospects, but you should be a quick-learner and able to adapt to situations.
