We're looking for a driven, talented Frontend Developer to join our busy Delivery Studio and help the team to successfully deliver amazing, industry-leading digital projects for our clients.

Working with our like-minded and highly talented development team, you will be bringing to life designs on a multitude of bespoke digital solutions across the Housing sector.

 

Revelling in the build of websites, self-service portals, lettings portals, mobile apps, chatbots and more, you will be working in a fast-paced environment combining efficiency with cutting edge technology.

Role responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining the frontend of web applications built primarily on the Umbraco CMS
  • Identifying, investigating and implementing novel solutions to satisfy client requirements
  • Liaising closely with the delivery team to complete support tickets and receive functional briefs to complete small project work within existing applications.
  • Ensure web applications meet current AA 2.2 web standards & accessibility requirements
  • Ongoing development of existing applications
  • Liaising with Backend Developers and Designers to ensure constraints and functionality requirements are met where necessary
  • Working with Project Managers to deliver within deadlines specified
  • Liaising with clients to deeper understand their requirements and to ensure that technical approaches are explained in an easy to understand manner
  • Maintaining our bespoke platform to deliver highly efficient websites with the simplest of ease

Experience you need for this role

  • Minimum of 2 years web development experience
  • High level knowledge of CSS, HTML and JavaScript
  • Proficient knowledge of CMS based development
  • Experience of industry best practices
  • Strong interest in future of web development
  • Experience of using version control systems preferable GIT and standard GIT branching models
  • Strong communication skills
  • Pragmatic attitude to problem-solving
  • Experience of writing reusable frontend code and components with standards such as BEM
  • Good knowledge of W3C web standards, Semantic Markup
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with task runners such as gulp or grunt
  • Experience with package managers such as NPM or Yarn
  • Experience with Sass or SCSS

  • Digital agency experience – or somewhere with similar pace
  • Experience of working in an agile team
  • Experience of frontend frameworks such as React, AngularJS or Vue
  • Experience of working with Azure based products such as Azure Functions
