We’re on the lookout for a Bid Writer to join our high-performing Strategy & Growth Team. You’ll work closely with our Digital Strategists on further qualifying amazing business opportunities.

About the role

As our new Bid Writer, you’ll be responsible for the production and submission of high-quality tender responses to help us reach the pitch stage of public sector procurement processes with organisations that are looking to drive digital channel shift.


Our Business Development Team will source good-fit tenders for you, and you’ll work closely with our Digital Strategists on further qualifying each opportunity. It’ll be your job to make use of and improve our library of proposal material to create a highly scoring written tender response.


This role is integral to the continued agency growth, helping us to deliver our sales strategy through driving revenue and winning new clients for us to retain and grow.

Role responsibilities

  • Work with the Digital Strategists to qualify in or out tender opportunities identified by our Business Development Team, based upon our tender scoring matrix
  • Proactively seek out relevant content input from internal technical sources to continually improve Prodo’s proposal quality, as part of our continuous improvement commitment
  • Analyse tender requirements from a scoring and compliance perspective
  • Liaise with the Digital Strategists, Web Developers and Designers on identifying, creating and submitting tender clarification queries to aid with submission accuracy
  • Write compelling and high-quality tender responses which reflect the Prodo brand, experience and expertise
  • Conduct final copy editing and proofreading
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement and optimisation of our tender response content and processes

Experience you need

  • Previous experience in Bid Writer or Content Executive type roles
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and prioritising multiple projects at once
  • Strong base knowledge of digital generally e.g. familiarity with CMS platforms, CRM systems (Umbraco & HubSpot desirable)
  • Some knowledge and understanding of web development concepts e.g. HTML, CSS, API, .NET, web server infrastructure, open-source vs SaaS.


Some things that might give you that extra edge… 

  • Experience of working in an agency environment is desirable
  • Experience in writing for public sector procurements is desirable
  • Ability to handle and thrive in a fast-paced, potentially high pressured environment
