Earlier this month, we were lucky enough to immerse ourselves in all things Inbound at the annual HubSpot experience in Boston. During three packed days, we absorbed wisdom from over 24,000 delegates from 110 countries, 250+ speakers and utilised the 300 break out sessions.

We started off with an exclusive agency partner day, where we got to hear about the big developments and upgrades to be rolled out across the HubSpot platform 

in the coming months. Here are the ten we’re most excited about:

 

 1. Ecommerce

The new ‘Buy Now’ button offers a more seamless buying experience for your prospects by creating a call-to-action that directly connects a product in your product catalogue to an online purchase in Stripe*.

*Requires separate Stripe subscription.

 

2. Chatflow

Each month, 20 billion messages are exchanged between people and businesses on Facebook Messenger. Now, with Facebook Messenger in HubSpot Conversations, you can capture those one-to-one interactions seamlessly.

  • Messages all in one place - Conversations started via Facebook Messenger can be carried on and stored in HubSpot’s Conversations inbox.
  • Delight across teams - With support forms now in the inbox and new unified thread views, everyone across your organisation - from Marketing to Sales to Service - can have full context of customer communications, helping you deliver a fluid end-to-end experience.

3. Drag & Drop

Email marketing and ads are now part of the free marketing tools available in the HubSpot CRM, giving you the tools needed to capture leads and nurture them into loyal customers. By rooting your marketing tools in your CRM, you can give your customers the personalised experiences they have come to expect.

Create custom templates with ease and publish content in a snap with the new drag-and-drop editors for email, web pages, and knowledge base articles. Need a new module or an image changing on your latest email template? The drag-and-drop functionality means you can easily build the right design for your needs.

 

4. Reporting

Attribution Reporting in HubSpot gives you credit for driving growth within your business by tying marketing actions to revenue. This enables you to show more ROI on marketing activities and see where you should be investing more across your marketing resources. As we all know, a customer can have hundreds of different interactions with your brand before they make a purchase – up until now, you’ve been able to see what page they converted on.

This new level of reporting enables you to see every touch point a customer has had with your brand through attribution modelling, be it social posts, emails, ads or other site pages that have influenced them prior to conversion. Credits will be assigned along the conversion path, allowing you to understand how different pages and channels viewed affect your conversion rates.

 

5. CRM

A simple but massively useful update, the Contact De-dupe tool, will enable you to easily find and merge duplicate contacts and companies. By removing duplicate data, your team won’t be working the same deals, and your customers won’t receive the same email multiple times.

6. Forms

There’s a planned Marketing Hub Starter update, which will allow you to send up to three automated follow-up emails after form submissions. This level of automation will allow you to start nurturing and converting your leads from the moment you capture their interest.

 

7. Workflows

To help you stay organised – no matter how sophisticated your workflows get – you can now create folders for your workflows, helping you co-ordinate different campaigns and projects. And to help you keep those complex workflows manageable, you can now create actions that skip to a different step in the workflow so that you’ll no longer need to keep duplicating repeat branches.

8. Marketplace

The new HubSpot App Marketplace makes it easier to find, understand, and install app integrations for your HubSpot account so that you can connect your data and improve your customer experience.

Key features include:

  • Hundreds more apps added (including integrations with Slack, Xero and WordPress)
  • More informed integration decisions - redesigned app listing pages to prioritise the details businesses need most, including pricing, subscription requirements and demo videos.
  • Easier discovery of relevant apps - with hand-curated selections of apps for different types of users, it’s easier than ever to find the right app for every purpose.
  • Less friction and better discoverability for app developers - the new app listing experience gives app creators a simple, streamlined way to create and manage their Marketplace listings.

9. Quotes Templates

We live in a digital age and we’re all a lot more environmentally conscious – so soon, you’ll be able to use digital signatures for quotes, and say goodbye to printing and sending hard copies. This will save time, money and resource, meaning you can put more effort into selling and retention.

 

10. NPS
