With over 150 years of experience, Walker Smith Way Solicitors
have a rich heritage and a diverse list of clients. The firm was
keen to demonstrate its modern and progressive approach to client
service excellence and adopt a clean, fresh 'personable' brand.
As well as developing
an attractive and professional website, Prodo Digital advised
Walker Smith Way to use their social media to challenge people's
perceptions about solicitors. We encouraged them to adopt a
strategy which showed the personal side of their staff, highlight
their social occasions and shout about the charity/community work
that they were heavily involved in. There was also a strong focus
on using social media as a recruitment tool, particularly for
trainee solicitors.
Twitter
Prodo Digital set up a Twitter account with a design that echoed
the website, presenting Walker Smith Way as a modern, progressive
law firm with traditional values coupled with underlying
approachability. A strategy of tweeting on a daily basis with a
mixture of company news, legal news and comments, hires and
promotions combined with actively targeting local business has seen
over 2,000 followers opt in to follow the Walker Smith Way Twitter
feed.
Facebook
With so many people using Facebook, it was important that Walker
Smith Way developed a social media presence on the network in
order to communicate with existing and potential clients. The
company's official profile page was set up to fulfil this goal and
currently has nearly 1,000 connections.
Facebook was also a major part of Walker Smith Way's recruitment
strategy. A group was created as a trainee recruitment tool where
applicants could interact with current trainees and the firm's HR
Manager to find out more about life at Walker Smith Way. This group
has upwards of 140 members.
Walker Smith Way's social media strategy has increased daily
interactions with potential clients, achieved a number of direct
approaches regarding both commercial and individual work and
increase attendance at free legal clinics run by firm.
