North Wales Borderlands is a joint tourism venture supported by
the local authorities of Flintshire, Denbighshire and Wrexham. The
project is designed to promote areas and attractions within each of
the counties to people living outside the local area.
Prodo Digital were commissioned to design a website that allowed
North Wales Borderlands to showcase popular attractions within the
region and provide insight into events and areas that may have
previously been overlooked or undiscovered by visitors.
Responding to the client goals, an easy to navigate website was
created that gave equal prominence to attractions and areas across
the region. A clear map, visible from the home page, highlights the
short distance of the area from major cities and a 'how to get
here' tab gives detailed travel information for road, rail and air.
The websites Content Management System gives the client the ability
to list accommodation and attraction across the region enabling the
website to provide a complete service with information on
everything from where to go, what to see and do and where to
stay.
The website is part of an integrated, on-going campaign with
Prodo Digital additionally providing Search Engine Optimisation and
Social Media expertise giving North Wales Borderlands the ability
to better promote this remarkable region.
