Prodo Digital were recruited by JJB Sports to play an integral
part in their online marketing strategy. As one of the country's
largest sporting retailers they are up against stiff online
competition and it was no easy task.
Their aim was to improve their presence in the search ranking
results for a variety of fields within the sporting sector,
including football, rugby and exercise. With this in mind we
developed a list of keywords that would drive the largest volume
and best quality traffic to the website from search engine
Our campaign covered everything from broad sporting terms to
specific product labels ensuring deep site optimisation and a
naturally appearing growth of links.
Campaign highlights include:
- Moving 'Adidas Adizero' (one of the most popular football boots
around) into position number 4 in Google search results.
- Moving 'Puma King' into position 1 in Google
- 'Chelsea Football Shirt' to number 3
- 'Liverpool Football Shirts' to number 3
- 'Easytone Trainers' to position 3>
With the campaign, JJB were hoping to boost brand
awareness for a variety of sporting sectors whilst also creating a
direct boost to sales and profit.
