Google has launched new search options that could have an impact on search engine optimisation (SEO), it has been reported.

In an official blog post on the company's website, it announced a new set of features called Search Options that lets users generate different views with the aim of making it easier to find what they need.

Users can choose to filter their results by time or date or search just for things that have appeared on, for example, forum sites.

According to Google, the Search Options also gives users the option to view their results in new ways.

"One view gives you more information about each result, including images as well as text, while others let you explore and iterate your search in different ways," the company said in its blog post.
