A Mobile Developer is required to join Prodo Digital, a vibrant
full service web design and creative agency with an impressive
client list across several sectors.
Main Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality professional
mobile applications based on sound User Experience/User Interface
design principles and to translate designs to iOS and
Android.
To be considered for this position, you must have at least two
years commercial Mobile programming experience and strong
experience of using objective C, Java, HTML5 and CSS. You'll need
to be an excellent communicator with strong influencing skills and
a track record of meeting and exceeding targets. You will also have
a dynamic, proactive and disciplined approach, thrive under
pressure, and relish a challenge.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Creating Visual Prototypes or Concepts for applications
- Identifying, investigating and implementing novel solutions to
client requirements
- Liaising closely with other developers sharing knowledge
- Liaising closely with Designers to ensure designs translate
into functionality expected
- Liaising closely with Client Services to receive briefs and
translate into specifications as well as liaising regarding client
amends providing solutions to client queries.
- Translating designs accurately into Objective-c/Java
- Setting up environments (dev/UAT/live) including version
control
- Complete testing of mobile applications, for supported versions
and to usability guidelines
- Work with Client Services to delivery within deadlines
specified
- Provide support for Head of Web Development in regards to
quoting for work
- Act as mobile development expert within the company
Skills / Attributes Required
- Minimum of 2 years commercial Mobile programming
experience
- Minimum of 1 years commercial developing with Android
- Minimum of 2 years commercial developing with iOS
- Strong experience of objective C, Java, HTML5, CSS
- Basic understanding of Windows mobile development (not
essential)
- Basic understanding of Blackberry App development (not
essential)
- Experience of web development including Asp.Net (not
essential)
- Strong experience using mobile development software (e.g.
XCode)
- Strong experience using Photoshop or similar graphics
package
- Strong interpersonal skills to work and interface with
individuals of various levels and backgrounds
- Ability to consume programming documentation and research into
new areas of development
- Strong interest in future of mobile application
development
