An ASP.Net Web Developer is required to join Prodo, a vibrant
full service digital agency with an impressive client list across
multiple sectors. You must have strong ASP.net / MS SQL skills
including demonstrable OO / N-tier web application development
experience. Ideally you will have full project lifecycle experience
in an agency setting. We are looking for a dynamic and flexible
individual who is comfortable working under their own initiative as
part of a small integrated team in a customer focused
environment.
Main Job Purpose
This is a great role for a developer to join somewhere exciting
and creative. You will be reporting to the Head of Web Development,
regularly liaising with interface Designers, Account Managers, peer
developers and on some occasions with clients. Your focus must be
the end user and client, this means functionality, usability,
scalability and quality must be paramount in your work. We are
seeking a mid to senior professional with at least 3 years
commercial experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Production of maintainable web applications with solid
architecture
- Identifying, investigating and implementing novel solutions to
client requirements
- Implementation and customisation of open source / commercial
CMS products
- Ensure web applications meet current web standards &
accessibility requirements
- Responsible for bug fixing
- Maintenance of existing applications
- Creating & implementing test strategies
- Implementing source control & versioning
- Contribute to coding standards / development practises
Management Responsibilities
No direct management responsibilities. Possibility of acting as
a mentor to junior developers.
Skills / Attributes Required
- ASP.Net (C#)
- MS SQL SERVER / TSQL
- Experience using and developing with Umbraco or similar
CMS
- Good knowledge of W3C web standards, Semantic Markup (XTHML /
CSS 2, JavaScript, DOM etc)
- Strong interest in the future of web application
development
- Experience of industry best practices
- Team Player, can do attitude, willing to transfer
knowledge
- Ability to work within small multi-skilled teams and to
communicate technical aspects in a clear manner
- Willingness to implement projects on time and to budget
- Ability to empathise with clients
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

- Strong experience using Umbraco
- Experience of having worked for a digital agency

- MOSS / SharePoint Experience
- Ecommerce / payment gateways
- Keen eye for Design / UI / UX
