Increasing your social click-through rate is probably one of the most difficult things to do overall, you’ve got algorithmic fluctuations to factor in, you’ve got updates going on all the time that you’ve got even less clarity on than you would from a search engine update – it can be very difficult to see what’s working and what’s not.
Work with your audience
We’re big advocates of working with your audience, looking at what their needs are: addressing them through the images that you use, the calls to action and also the actual content and how you speak to them. If you speak to them, speak to them as a person and pique their interest, they’re likely to reward you with a click through.
Keep your promises
Lastly, to keep those click through rates nice and high over time, make sure that you deliver on any promises that you’re going to make. There’s nothing worse than getting clickbait links and very very thin content to support what you’ve got on the other side.
Don’t do that to people, give them the good stuff!
