Prodo were asked to construct a new web site for the Hawkstone Park Hotel and Golf Club. The Hotel has 66 bedrooms and can provide conference and banqueting facilities for up to 200 people. It was built as an elegant and spacious hostelry in 1790, to cater for visitors to one of Britain's first 18th Century Parks, Hawkstone Park & Follies, now designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed landscape, and was recently voted ‘Family attraction of the Year’.
The site had little or no visibility on the search engines, and had minimal data capture capabilities. Therefore the main priority for the re-design was to identify the right target audience, drive them to the site, capture their details in an online database and then build relationships through the use of online and offline marketing.
Project Objectives
- To create a web site that not only meets current web standards for usability and functionality, but portrays Hawkstone Park as the Venue of choice to the most discerning of client. Whether they are an individual or corporate client.
- To widen the websites audience by increasing its visibility on the major search engines, and ensuring that it has incoming links that will generate the right quality and quantity of traffic. To create a site that is easy to use, and has the current ratio of imagery to content to ensure that visitors find what they are looking for with the minimum of fuss, whilst ensuring that they are fully exposed to all the services that Hawkstone Park has to offer.
- To ensure that the site meets strict return on investment targets by including clear and compelling data capture points. Then handling enquiries in a professional manner and building strong long term relationships through the use of highly targeted email marketing campaigns.
- Make the site as ‘sticky’ as possible, ensuring that visitors are drawn back to the site again and again and refer others to the site through word of mouth and viral marketing
