Umbraco Website Build

The challenge? Emirates Old Trafford needed
a new website for both their cricket club, Lancashire
County Cricket Club and their events and venue service.

"Mince Pies And Sherry..."

After a competitive pitch, we began our consultancy
phase by undertaking comprehensive research with
Lancashire Members and other stakeholders. We took
our mobile Customer Engagement Lab over to the cricket
ground, along with copious amounts of mince pies and
sherry (it was Christmas time so it was only fair). The
eye-tracking and stakeholder interviews ensured that we
built a modern, user-centric, adaptable website that
reflects Lancashire’s burgeoning presence in the digital
landscape and meets the varying requirements of all
of its users.

"Completely Personalised Journey..."

The new website is built using Umbraco and features
an innovative personalization engine, which ensures that
each user receives a completely personalised journey
depending on their browsing habits, making for a truly
fan centric experience. The site also gives a truly exciting
web experience for those who cannot attend a match
in person by integrating with industry experts OPTA to bring
ball-by- ball live match updates alongside game, season
and player statistics.

"Instant Results..."

The impact of the new website was instant, user
experience metrics were all positively increased.

Total sessions increased 70% during first cricket match
Page load speed was reduced back by 43%.
A record live match page 24,000 views on first game

A record 16,000 unique visitors on the day of Rihanna’s concert
Average page speed down from 5 seconds to under 2 seconds
