We are looking for an experienced SEO / SEM professional to join our growing Search team. Reporting directly to the head of search you will need to understand client’s needs and translate these into SEO strategies that deliver a good return on investment. You will be given full responsibility for SEO strategy development and implementation for your accounts.

Although this is not a direct management position at the moment, you will be responsible for overseeing SEO technicians and required to offer help and advice to search technicians and link builders along with other members of the agency team. You will work with the SEO manager to implement processes and systems that further develop the efficiency of the SEO operation and you should be a good communicator.

Key activities

  • Manage client budgets and ROI forecasts including provision of full rationales behind all recommendations.
  • Work with the web development team to direct them on SEO best practice .
  • Research a clients’ area of business with the ability to quickly assess competitors and recommend winning strategies and budgets.
  • Producing regular performance reports with good strong analytical content and recommendations.
  • Liaising with Account Managers on a day to day basis and provide regular presentations on campaign success.
  • Constantly keeping up to date on SEO trends and working this information into ongoing successful SEO strategies.
  • Familiarity with webmaster tools such as keyword research tools including Wordtracker and Adwords keyword tool; SEM Rush and SEO management tools; Link building research tools and social media tools for tracking purposes.
  • To support the account management and sales teams in pitches and making recommendations for up-selling and cross selling to existing clients.

    Skills / Attributes Required

    Essential

    • Demonstrate examples of previous SEO work and the success of these projects.
    • Have clear strategies for delivering quality link building.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create reports.
    • Ability to multitask; running a number of campaigns simultaneously and deliver to deadlines.
    • Excellent verbal and written English.
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
    • A good technical understanding of website build methods and the ability to direct our technical team on SEO best practice
    • Confident communication and presentation skills
    • Demonstrate experience in account management within SEO preferably in an agency environment
    • Be aware of developments in SEO and trends
    • Expertise and experience in social media and the implications for social media on successful SEO
    • Extremely well organised
    • Be able to encourage and develop junior staff members  around you
    • A desire to share your knowledge

    Desirable

    • Some knowledge of PPC, email and display marketing
    • Familiarity with Adwords would be beneficial

    Benefits Package: BUPA, 23 days holiday per annum, plus birthday off
    Hours of employment: 37.5 Hours per week. 8.30am to 5pm (1 hour for lunch)
