A Senior Web Developer is required to join Prodo, a vibrant full service web design and creative agency with an impressive client list across several sectors. You must have strong ASP.net / MS SQL skills including demonstrable OO / N-tier web application development experience
Main Job Purpose
This is a great role for a developer to make that step up to a senior position or for a senior developer to join somewhere exciting and creative.
You will be reporting to the Web Team Manager, regularly liaising with interface Designers, Account Managers, peer developers and on some occasions with clients.
Your focus must be the end user and client, this means functionality, usability, scalability and quality must be paramount in your work.
We are seeking a mid-career professional with 3-5 years commercial experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Production of maintainable web applications with solid architecture
- Maintenance of existinig applications
- Identifying, investigating and implementing novel solutions to client requirements
- Implementation and customisation of open source CMS products
- Ensure web applications meet current web standards & accessibility requirements
- Responsible for bug fixing
- Creating & implementing test strategies
- Implementing source control & versioning
Management Responsibilities
No direct management responsibilities. Possibility of acting as a mentor to junior developers.
Skills / Attributes Required
Required
- XHML / CSS 2, JavaScript, DOM etc
- W3C web standards, Semantic Markup
- Excellent practical knowledge of Accessibility (WAI A, AA, AA)
- ASP.net 2.0 (Preferably C# )
- ASP (classic)
- Web Services
- CMS Experience
- Windows Server 2003, IIS etc
- MS SQL SERVER (2000 / 2005)
- XML, XSLT, XPath etc
- Strong interest in future of web application development
- Experience of N-Tier OO development and industry best practices
- Team Player, can do attitude, willing to transfer knowledge
- Ecommerce / payment gateways

Basic Salary Range: Up to £25,000
Benefits Package: BUPA, 23 days holiday per annum
Hours of employment: 37.5 Hours per week. 8.30am to 5pm (1 hour for lunch)
