Newsletters provide the highest return on investment?

Written on July 24, 2007

Jacob Nielsen says that newsletters are so important because they allow you to build a relationship with your customers that last way beyond their initial visit to your website (and for that matter also beyond any initial contact whether on or offline).

The enewsletter is particularly good as a website companion because it answers a different user need; ie newsletters allow you to keep customers informed whereas a website gives detailed information and allows them to perform a business interaction.

It also allows you to interact with customers in a way that is non-intrusive, which is electronic and therefore reasonably cheap. Nielson is convinced that if you don’t have an enewsletter strategy it is probably the single-highest Return On Investment action you could take to improve your website presence. Another essential reason to start an enewsletter is that it is a great way to drive further traffic to your website without having to rely on search engines. And as if you needed another good reason, you can also segment your database to ensure that the right customer receives the right communication and lets you maximize your presence even further.

Prodo can provide you with the technology, the creativity, the copy and the service to devise and run your enewsletter campaigns; all done on a simple single monthly payment. To find out more about Prodo’s Email marketing service click here

I send one enewsletter out per month. I promote my listings, put my blog posts in there I promote my products, give market statistics and provide helpful advice and promote mortgage brokers by including their articles.
