Google Changes 'Attractions' Search
Google search has changed the way it displays it's results to
users when searching with the name of a location. For example, when
searching for "Attractions Chester" Google used to return sites
such as http://www.visitchester.com
ranked above the various attractions, but now you will start to see
locations appearing in search results with information about
reviews and transport.
Below shows a screenshot of how a search for "Chester
attractions" will now appear;

Google now gives you the opportunity to see up to 10 locations
from a city like Chester. Hovering over these locations will then
display information such as opening times, transport, links to
directions and even reviews by other Google users.
Optimising your business' place page is becoming increasingly
important to feature in Google's place listing. We found this great
guide here:

Ultimately though we can't help but feel all these changes are
being made to increase the chances of people paying for the
privilege to appear within Google's local search listing in the
near future.
